Second Class Citizen

There are lots of things to love about Singapore: 

Cleanliness
Low Crime Rate
Proximity to great travel venues

I guess the more entrenched you become the more you find that gets in your craw other than the weather.

I recently lost my phone (again) and felt I really deserved an iphone for Mother's Day.  I went right down to the Singtel office (one of 3 mobile phone carriers in Singapore) to purchase one. 

I stood in the very orderly que and waited for my turn.  I told the 19 year old man that I wanted to buy an
Iphone  He asked for my cell number (called hand phones here) which he entered into the system.

Well, since I am on a dependent pass, I must have my husband with me with his documents to approve the purchase of said phone. 

So much for the plan that when Tom asked when  I got my Iphone I would reply, "I been having that, yea!"
